Last-minute plans always mean fun, chaos, adjustments, and adventures. So last year around this time we had one such impromptu trip to Mahabaleshwar.

We took the late-night bus to our destination and somehow managed to get a booking at a hotel called Treetop. Little did we know that our hotel was in the middle of nowhere, I mean somewhat in between Wai and Mahabaleshwar city with barely any means of travel unless you have your vehicle or like travelling by the local transport.

Food Wastage and Smart ways to avoid it.

Food wastage/loss occurs at various stages of the food supply chain. Although we may not be able to completely stop food wastage or loss, we can definitely play our part in preventing food wastage at the household and individual level.

As per the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United States, One-third of the food produced for consumption is lost or wasted globally which is around 1.3 million tons of food. It also states that HUNGER is one of the biggest challenges in development.

My latest obsession is trying out the different recipes on my cast iron paniyaram pan. The paniyaram pan also known as appe pan, is mainly used to make paniyaram/appe.

One of the easiest and quickest recipes you can make on a paniyaram pan is Egg bites. A dash of protein from eggs and complex carbs from oats, makes for a quick snack or breakfast option.
