“Cucumber Pachdi” is a popular side dish from South India.
“Pachdi/Pachadi” is a simple raita made with curds and some vegetable/fruit and spices, this raita is served with main meals as an accompaniment.
But today, we aren’t talking about pachadi. We are talking about this amazing drink which I tasted sometime last year at Mahesh Lunch Home.
The cucumber Pachdi served was cooling, refreshing, beautifully spiced, and perfect for summer.
So finally, I decided to recreate the drink in my kitchen using local cucumber, homemade curds, and spice.
Cucumber Pachdi Recipe:-

Equipment
- Mixing bowl
Ingredients
- 2 Medium Cucumbers preferably green cucumber
- 3/4 cup Curds preferably homemade
- 2 Green Chilies
- 5-6 Curry Leaves
- 2-3 tbsp Grated Coconut
- 1/2 inch Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Sugar *Optional
- Ice
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients in the mixer and blend into paste.
- Serve in a glass with ice.
