A memorable walk in Kanheri Caves in Mumbai

The Kanheri Caves in Mumbai date back to the 1st century BC. Built from natural basalt rock, there are around 110 caves. Some of them are complete, some half done and a few left mid-way through construction for varied reasons. The work done in these caves ranges from simple to intricate and helps determine the time when they were constructed based on the architecture. These contain Buddhist sculptures, carvings, paintings, and inscriptions.

Walkeshwar: Serene Kashi of Mumbai

Before I share my experience of visiting Walkeshwar.I wanted to share something-

So one of my resolutions for 2018 is to explore my beautiful city, Mumbai. I am glad that I made this resolution because ever since I made it I’ve visited many places and blogged about quite a few of them.

This month my explorations took me to a beautiful place that has religious, spiritual, scenic, and historical importance. Not just that, it also is one of the most expensive places to live in Mumbai-WalkeshwarThe kashi” of Mumbai (the Malabar Hill, Hanging Gardens, Tower of Silence.)

A fun trip to Mahabaleshwar

Traveling-it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.”- Ibn Battuta

Last-minute plans always mean fun, chaos, adjustments, and adventures. So last year around this time we had one such impromptu trip to Mahabaleshwar.

We took the late-night bus to our destination and somehow managed to get a booking at a hotel called Treetop. Little did we know that our hotel was in the middle of nowhere, I mean somewhat in between Wai and Mahabaleshwar city with barely any means of travel unless you have your vehicle or like travelling by the local transport.
